"This one is so odd that it becomes kind of funny. Now that Bella’s not human, they’re just on Mars now. Everyone in it is a lunatic!"

"The paparazzi, you get used to them. But it’s still weird to see those guys who decided to be assholes their whole lives. You feel like telling them: ‘Why did you chose that job?’ Everyone hates you!’” And then he starts laughing so hard he can’t stop. “It’s like people who give you parking tickets. You watch them, they all seem so happy! Mhhh cool, I’m gonna ruin someone’s day!"

"Now at least a film like Hunger Games is gaining a lot of attention and that’s a good thing for me because I can break free more of a certain perception that’s been formed about me through my character in Twilight. It’s ironic but I was offered the part in Cosmopolis on the last day of shooting on Breaking Dawn. It was an incredible feeling to be getting a call from David Cronenberg at that particular moment in time. It also reminds me that I should be very grateful for what the Twilight films have done for me."

"French Interviewer: How do you love someone without making love to them?

0:32: The journalist who interviewed him speaks over the video and also says “He’s excited for the premiere of his movie at Cannes and wishes good luck/congratulates to his girlfriend Kristen Stewart. ‘Kristen is amazing in On The Road. I’ve always admired her talent. It’s incredible to be both here in competition at the festival. Maybe here starts a new phase of my career’” / “Kristen’s always been a great actress, people just…can’t even see what you actually are” (x)

  • Q: Did you think of a speech if you win? (At Cannes)
  • Rob: Absolutely not! I'm terrified by just the idea of going on stage and getting booed!
  • Q: It would be your first big award...
  • Rob: Hey, I won Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards for Twilight. Three years in a row!
"I want to make a film that will inspire people to hang his poster on their wall. Like Trainspotting at the time: everyone had that poster in his room, me included. It was a way to assert its identity. I dream of participating in projects that inspire the same thing."

"I’m going to do a movie about The Band, the one that played with Dylan: a beautiful script about the nature of songwriting. I’m preparing a thriller too, with a beautifully written script too. It doesn’t have a director yet. Tons of French diretors are in line to do. A few years ago, Latin America was where it’s happening, it seems it’s France turn now … I’m filming another movie with Cronenberg but i don’t know when he wants to start filming. It’s going to be his first one in France and he promises it’s going to be very strange. The next two or three years are going to be crucial for me. It’s now that everything happens."

"There’s no point in being scared of just trying. The worst that can happen is just failure, right?"

— Robert Pattinson

"His Twilight co-star, and longtime girlfriend, Kristen Stewart will also show a new side in the Walter Salles’ film On the Road. Pattinson has seen the movie and calls it “amazing."
